The Filipina Broadway and concert star, Lea Salonga takes the stage as she returns at the Tony Awards 2021 as a presenter.

“It’s really happening!!!” Salonga shared on Twitter last September 24, the news that she will be participating in the 74th edition of the said event at Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.

The said awarding show confirmed the attendance of Lea through their Twitter account. “The stars! The glamour! The performances! Even more names plus top musical moments are announced for Sunday’s #TonyAwards. See it all LIVE on @paramountplus and @CBS @johnlegend @MsLeaSalonga

Salonga has attended the Tony Awards about five times already. Prior to returning as a presenter, she performed on the big stage with her co-stars in the musical “Once On This Island” in 2018.

In 1991, she was the recipient of the Tony for Best Actress in a Musical for her role as Kim in Miss Saigon and came back as a presenter in 2017.

“The atmosphere was electric and emotional. There were not just a few of us that haven’t been inside a theater for 18 months or more, so just walking into one felt like a pilgrimage and an experience we’ll never take for granted again,” Lea exclaimed as she shared one of the behind-the-scenes of the said awarding show.
