The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Davao Region (DSWD-11), in collaboration with the Office of the President, will host the “Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas Para sa 4Ps Caravan Mega Job Fair 2025” on Feb. 15 in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
The event, organized in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Agriculture (DA), aims to provide employment and livelihood opportunities to 3,000 pre-identified Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries transitioning out of the program.
In a statement Thursday, DSWD-11 explained that households exit the 4Ps due to factors such as natural attrition, lack of monitored children, completion of the seven-year program duration, improved well-being, or voluntary withdrawal.
“This initiative aims to provide employment and livelihood opportunities to help them sustain their progress beyond the 4Ps,” the agency said.
DOLE-11 has invited various employers and partner companies to offer 887 job vacancies to qualified applicants.
A one-stop shop will also be set up, featuring government agencies providing essential services, while DA-11 will showcase agricultural products through the Kadiwa ng Pangulo initiative.
“Through this effort, the government reinforces its dedication to long-term poverty reduction, equipping Filipino families with the tools needed to thrive beyond the 4Ps program and achieve lasting financial independence,” DSWD-11 added.
The job fair underscores the government’s commitment to empowering 4Ps beneficiaries by fostering sustainable livelihoods and guiding them toward self-sufficiency. (PNA)
