In Rosario, Cavite, a heartwarming rescue took place when tricycle driver Mac Leonardo Capuz Dela Cruz, known as “Braullo,” discovered a newborn baby abandoned in his tricycle compartment.

At 7:00 a.m., Braullo found a newborn baby abandoned in his tricycle compartment, wrapped in a gray cloth and covered in blood.

Braullo, a 31-year-old father who has been driving a tricycle in Rosario for nine years, had seen an agitated woman earlier that morning carrying an unknown object.

When he checked the tricycle later, he was heartbroken to find the baby inside.

Without hesitation, Braullo rushed the baby to the Rosario Maternity & Medical Emergency Clinic (RMMEC), with the help of Brgy. Investigator Cony Alonzo and Kagawad Riza Alcantara.

The baby, still with her umbilical cord intact and weighing 5.94 pounds, received immediate care. Rosario Vice Mayor Bamm Gonzales visited the clinic to provide essential supplies, showing personal concern for the infant’s well-being.

In a heartfelt message, Braullo appealed to his community to act with kindness and integrity. To women, let’s not imitate this. It’s against the laws of man and the laws of God,)” he said.

The baby has been placed in the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), while authorities continue to investigate the woman’s identity and potential legal consequences.
