The provincial government of Misamis Oriental has completed three school buildings worth PHP24 million in public schools across Balingasag municipality.

During his State of the Province Address (SOPA) delivered Thursday in Laguindingan town, Governor Peter Unabia highlighted the construction as part of his administration’s infrastructure projects aimed at benefiting every municipality and component city.

“In the province, we have been giving priority to education through our aggressive programs for the welfare and development of the youth,” Unabia said.

Last year, the province constructed 53 child development centers worth PHP147 million and 133 classrooms valued at PHP319.7 million, of which 80 have been completed.

Unabia has been visiting municipalities and component cities to personally deliver his SOPA, underscoring the provincial government’s commitment to improving educational facilities. (PNA)
