More than 600 police personnel and their dependents availed of the one-stop-shop frontline services of various agencies organized by the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) at the Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. here.

PRO-NIR spokesperson Lt. Col. Joem Malong said in an interview on Monday that the activity was held in line with the observance of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Day on Jan. 30.

“An estimated 600 to 700 PNP personnel and their dependents were served as we brought frontline services closer to them,” she said.

These personnel are assigned at the PRO-NIR regional headquarters, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, and Bacolod City Police Office.

They availed of on-site services such as documentation, benefits processing, licensing, financial assistance, and other essential government services.

The one-stop-shop streamlined processes, reduced waiting time, and allowed PNP personnel and their families to conveniently address multiple concerns in one venue.

“The initiative reflects the PNP’s commitment to caring for those who serve, noting that a ‘Bagong PNP’ is built on discipline, professionalism, and genuine concern for its people,” PRO-NIR Director Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay said in a statement.

Participating agencies included the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loans Association Inc., Public Safety Savings and Loan Association Inc., and Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund Inc.

Others were the Philippine Statistics Authority, Land Transportation Office, National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine Health Insurance Corp., Pag-IBIG Fund, Professional Regulation Commission, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and Department of Agriculture.

The PNP Regional Civil Security Unit, Regional Medical and Dental Unit, and Highway Patrol Group also extended their services. (PNA)
