The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. in Caraga Region (PhilHealth-13) disbursed PHP525.43 million in claims to partner health facilities in August.

In a report on Thursday, PhilHealth-13 said the payment covered 40,410 processed claims from its partner health facilities across the region.

PhilHealth-13 also achieved an average claims processing time of 6.72 days last month, significantly faster than the national average of 10.25 days.

“PhilHealth Caraga remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting healthcare providers and ensuring the seamless delivery of universal health care across the region,” the regional office indicated in its report.

Officials credited the performance to the agency’s mission of providing responsive and timely service.

“We thank our healthcare partners for their continued synergy as we work together to provide accessible, reliable, and efficient financial medical protection for every Caraganon,” the statement added. (PNA)
