Nearly 1.2 million applications for voters’ registration have so far been processed for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on Nov. 2.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) data released on Monday showed the running total of applications nationwide has reached 1,187,115.

Of the number, 629,863 are female applicants and 557,252 are male.

The Comelec said 920,122 are applying as regular voters, with 324,536 of them new registrants aged at least 18 years old and above.

A total of 340,999 individuals applied for transfer from other cities/municipalities; 73,582 people applied for transfer within the same city/municipality; and 48,634 applied for reactivation of registration.

Applications for new registrants, aged 15 to 17 years for the SK polls, hit 266,993.

The registration period resumed Oct. 20, 2025 and will end on May 18. (PNA)
