The Philippine Army and provincial government continue round-the-clock operations to restore critical roads and to deliver aid to communities affected by recent typhoons.

In a statement Tuesday, the Army’s 501st Combat Engineer Battalion (501CEB) and 91st Infantry Battalion (91IB) reported addressing road cuts along the Baler–Casiguran Road in Barangay Gupa, Dipaculao.

The 501CEB leads gravel hauling and debris clearing operations while the 91IB provides manpower support, security, and logistical coordination.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office oversees disaster response operations to ensure efficient resource allocation.

Lt. Col. Aries A. Quinto, commanding officer of the 91st Infantry Battalion, emphasized the importance of collaboration.

“This united effort demonstrates the strong partnership between the Philippine Army and the Local Government of Aurora to provide immediate relief and recovery to residents affected by the recent calamity,” Quinto said.

The provincial government and Army assured residents that restoration and relief operations will continue until normalcy returns. (PNA)
