On August 25, motorist Mark Palanca shared on his social media platform a heartwarming image of a delivery rider with a graduation picture of his daughter on his bicycle with the caption “Proud Papa.”

Captured by his sincerity in showing off her daughter’s achievement, Palanca shared how he was amazed and touched by the father’s dedication to his family based on what he saw on the delivery rider’s bicycle.

“Pagod mula sa isang linggong trabaho tas makikita ko [ito]. Nakakaproud maging magulang na lumalaban araw araw,” Palanca said.

Based on an interview with a local television network, the delivery rider was Elmer Mallanao from Antipolo City.

Mallanao disclosed in the interview that he wanted to show the world how proud he was of his daughter by printing her pictures and placing them on his delivery bicycle instead of merely putting them in a tarpaulin like others.

“Noong nalaman ko na Cum Laude siya, agad akong nag-isip kung anong gagawin ko para mapahayag ko sa lahat Cum Laude yung anak ko,” Mallanao said.

Other than showing off how proud he was of his daughter, Mallanao also shared that his daughter’s achievements were also a win for him, noting that he raised her alone after her wife died.

With the inspiring story of a father’s love for his daughter, a lot of netizens expressed their heartwarming sentiments to the viral post, saying that there will always be something good in each day to celebrate.

“Salute sa lahat ng ‘Bayaning Ama.’ Nagbunga na ang lahat ng hirap, pagod at puyat ni sir,” a netizen shared on the viral post.
