The city government launched People’s Day Year 3 on Tuesday in Barangay Washington, with over 2,000 residents benefiting from free government services.

People’s Day brings government services to residents, including medical, dental, legal, agricultural, veterinary, and social services.

Agricultural services included the distribution of vegetable seedlings and animal vaccinations, especially in communities.

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) and Philippine Statistics Authority also served residents.

“The city government, through the People’s Day initiative, renders quality services to our residents,”
Mayor Pablo Yves Dumlao II said in a statement.

In addition to Barangay Washington, 16 more villages will benefit from People’s Day activities this month.

“My queries on PhilHealth were clarified and acted upon during this activity. I need not go to their office in the city proper,” resident Babyjoy Vasquez of Purok 7 said in an interview. (PNA)
