The young mambabatok from Kalinga had a successful tour this year after having multiple tattoo sessions in six different locations.

Grace Palicas, the “Next Great Mambabatok” from Kalinga, has traveled from the mountains of Cordillera to the streets of Manila to conduct tattoo sessions around the city.

The Manila tour included four stops, the first of which is with Mandaluyong’s Bahaghari Tours last June 29-30,

Makati’s Artcoholic Tattoo and Arts on July 2–4,

Katribu Tatu in Pasig City on July 9–11,

and Twin Towers – T2 Resto Bar & Billiards in Quezon City on July 17 and 18.

Aside from the tour in Manila, the young mambabatok and her team also traveled to Bulacan last July 15 & 16, and on Nueva Ecija last July 22.

Grace is well-known to people who have been to Buscalan for a batok tattoo as the grandniece and personal apprentice of Kalinga tattoo expert and Dangal Haraya awardee Apo Whang-od. She’s also become known in the local tattoo community, garnering the moniker “the next great mambabatok.”
