The Ministry of Health–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) received PHP9.6 million (USD167,000) worth of biomedical, laboratory, and oxygen-related equipment and supplies from the US Embassy in the Philippines on Wednesday.

In a statement Thursday, Dr. Zul Qarneyn Abas, MOH-BARMM Deputy Health Minister, said he received the donations on behalf of Health Minister Dr. Kadil Sinolinding Jr., during a program held at the MOH regional office in Cotabato City.

Abas conveyed sincere gratitude for the enduring partnership with the US Embassy, which consistently contributes to developing healthier, safer, and more resilient communities in BARMM.

“These life-saving resources are to be delivered to nine public hospitals serving communities across the region to strengthen the capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to health threats, ensuring that critical services reach those who need them most,” he said in the statement.

He expressed his sincere gratitude to the US government for providing life-saving equipment to support BARMM’s health security. (PNA)
