The journey to the grand finals is getting fiercer as Ody Sto. Domingo and Femme MNL pushed through the next round as the first two grand finalists of ABS-CBN’s world-class talent search “Pilipinas Got Talent” Season 7 last Sunday (May 25).

Magician Ody Sto. Domingo, who wowed the judges with his elaborate magic act of “determining the future,” topped the online voting, with 49.14%, and automatically advanced to the grand finals.

Meanwhile, all-gay dance group Femme MNL, which performed a high-energy routine featuring Vice Ganda’s “Rampa,” took the second spot in the online voting with 16.14%.

Femme MNL also advanced to the grand finals as “PGT” judges Freddie M. Garcia, Kathryn Bernardo, and Donny Pangilinan chose them over Fuego Eterno, which placed third in the online voting with 11.67%.

The judges expressed that they found it difficult to decide between the two dance groups.

“Ito ‘yung kinakatakot ko, ‘yung dalawang dance group na hindi ko makalimutan ang mga performance, papapiliin ako sainyong dalawa. Sobrang hirap. Pero hindi naman dito nagtatapos ang journey. Maraming salamat sa effort at sa oras na binigay niyo sa “PGT,” Kathryn said.

The semifinals round will continue in the coming weeks as the online voters and power judges decide more stunning acts who will advance to the grand finals and get the chance to win P2 million.
