A father and solo parent of three sons generated both praise and concerns from netizens on social media after publicly revealing that he works three jobs every day.

Gerry Palima first worked as a security guard at a convenience store in 2003, presently working at a certain branch in Camp Crame, Quezon City. He then became a food delivery rider in 2020. After three years, Palima decided to work as a motorcycle taxi driver, officially starting his triple-job lifestyle.

Palima announced his work lifestyle in one of his Facebook posts in the group Move It Riders and Passengers Group last July 23, 2024. As of this writing, the post has garnered more than 63k reactions, 1.7k comments, and 4.1k shares.

Palima begins his work as a security guard in a convenience store from nine in the evening to seven in the morning. He then transfers to his job as a motorcycle taxi driver, carrying passengers until 9:30 a.m. Afterwards, he shifts to his job as a food delivery rider until one in the afternoon.

Palima stated that he no longer has a wife and that his three sons were his remaining motivation to do multiple jobs.

Many netizens shared their praise and appreciation towards Palima’s hard working routine.

“I respect your hustle, Sir!” one of the netizens commented.

“Mabuhay po kayo kuya! God bless you po,” another said.

However, several users expressed their concerns regarding his physical and mental well-being as an aging father working almost 16 hours a day–from 9 in the evening to 1 in the afternoon.
