The Philippines proudly highlighted its world-class craftsmanship and flavors at the 2025 Jiefangbei International Consumption Festival, a premier event gathering global brands in Yuzhong District, Chongqing Municipality, southwest China.

Organized by the Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, the country’s vibrant booth featured Filipino creativity through well-loved brands such as Oishi, a household favorite in both the Philippines and China; Bebebalm, an award-winning skincare line; and Queens Honey-dipped Banana Chips from OneAsia Trader. Notably, Bebebalm was a Gold Award recipient at the 2024 China-ASEAN Expo.

The Philippines’ participation aimed to introduce more Filipino products to Chinese consumers while strengthening cultural and people-to-people exchanges—timely as both nations commemorate 50 years of formal diplomatic relations this year.

With the theme “Global Style, Fashion Trends,” the festival gathered over 100 international brands, 10 foreign consulates, and major commercial partners. Running for two months, it features fashion shows, product exhibitions, launches, and shopping promotions.

The festival’s opening included the Harper’s Bazaar International Golden Street Show, spotlighting renowned labels such as Pronovias and Vera Wang Bride, along with new collections from II Encore, Li-Ning, Bosideng, and Danish perfume brand Skandinavisk.

Home to 15 consulates, over 1,000 foreign enterprises, and attracting around 90 million tourists annually, Yuzhong District continues to serve as Chongqing’s gateway to the world.

Since its establishment in 2020, the Jiefangbei International Consumption Festival has evolved into a dynamic platform for global trade, culture, and collaboration. The Philippines’ participation this year further underscored Chongqing’s growing prominence as a hub of international lifestyle and commerce in southwest China.
